The Cedar Gardens
(www.thecedargardens.com)
Challenge
The Cedar Gardens Assisted Living sought an alternative way
to attract new patient families beyond the costly, traditional
referral service. They knew that by creating an online resource,
combined with printed brochures and business cards, they could
connect with families looking for home-care and avoid referral
fees.
Additionally, they and their staff needed a more
cost effective way to communicate with resident families about
special events and health-news. They turned to Marketing Continuum
for an integrated solution.
Solution
We began by understanding what is special about their care.
In short, The Cedar Gardens Assisted Living takes a very personal
approach to long-term care. We took the same in their design.
Logo Redesign:
We focused on refining their current logo to drive the creativity
of the project. The cedar tree image represents strength,
so we integrated a dove and a sphere symbolizing the peaceful
nature of their homes and the holistic care they provide.
Corporate Brochure &
Business Cards: The business card and brochure were
designed to emphasize important cornerstones setting The Cedar
Gardens apart. The business card is two-sided and includes
a photo emphasizing they are family-owned, their philosophy
and contact information. The brochure is also a self-mailer
which can serve as a hand out or direct mail piece.
“Active Adult”
Website: The specifics of this audience required unique
design considerations. These included larger font to ensure
clear reading without glasses and sizing to fit a high-resolution
computer screen.
Results
- Integrated marketing reduced overall design
costs by 35% due to re-purposing creative.
- Functional brochure cut print costs in half
because it serves as a hand-out and self-mailer.
- Website offered an interactive resource for
new families saving over $6,000 per resident.
